District events

Ladies and gentleman of SD11, I wanted to get a few items before you.   The first is a field hearing of the US Senate Small Business Committee will be happening in Galveston on Friday Sept 25th at 1pm.  Both of Texas's Senators will be there as well as many of Texas's house members.  I know this is a late notice but it may be good to attend.  It will be at the Galveston Island Convention Center at 5600 Seawall Blvd, Galv TX 77550.   Also, I attended Pete Olson's town hall meeting in Clear Lake last Saturday and it was well attended.  There were a few radicals from the left who heckled and tried to disrupt the meeting but Pete did a good job of keeping the meeting going.  The officers there had to escort one women out who later was re-admitted.  It was clear that most folks there were interested in what Congressman Olson was discussing and not the disruptor's.   We will have our SREC meeting this weekend so I will try and get you an update of what went on at that meeting next week.   Lastly, I spoke at the Galveston Network last week to a large crowd about the upcoming Texas Constitutional Amendment elections.  I urge you all to check out those amendments on the states Secretary of State website and inform yourself on the amendments that will be voted on.  I can provide a pro-con list for any of the amendments if you wish to get one.  I will try and get it posted on www.srecsd11.com as well, you can also get to the states link from that web site.   Thanks for your time and God Bless, Dennis Paul SREC SD11
