The Texas flag waving in the wind.
KING v. BURWELL SCOTUS RULING

Yesterday's ruling in King v. Burwell is perplexing to many of us across Texas.  It is imperative to reiterate that the State of Texas has chosen the correct path in not establishing a state exchange and not expanding Medicaid.  State exchanges can simply be described as a failure; Medicaid expansion an expensive mistake. While the Supreme Court has saved ACA legally, it cannot save the Act from collapsing from its internal contradictions and the ineptitude of those who are charged with its implementation. The Texas Conservative Coalition provided background yesterday on King v. Burwell and can be viewed here

Today the Supreme Court disregarded the democratically-enacted will of millions of Americans by forcing states to redefine the institution of marriage. I believe in the sanctity of traditional marriage and will continue to defend those religious rights.
