State Representative Dennis Paul District 129 Newsletter

The Spring has been a busy time around House District 129! I have been attending many community events, and I look forward to attending many more as the year continues.

Last month, the Speaker of the House released interim committee charges.  Interim committee charges are the issues that the Speaker would like House Committees to study before our next legislative session in January of 2023. You can find a complete list of interim charges here.

The House Committee on Insurance, which I serve on, will hold its first hearing next week. You can find the agenda for the hearing here.

If you have any questions or need further information on an issue, please do not hesitate to contact my office.

It is an honor to serve you in the Texas House of Representatives.

God Bless,

Dennis Paul

The Houston Galveston Area Council is asking for input into their 2045 Regional Plan.  The 2045 Regional Transportation Plan is a long-range plan that prioritizes spending on regional transportation projects, including short and long-range strategies to ensure our transportation network is safe and efficient. With an ever-present focus on safety, efficiency, and reliability, the RTP highlights efforts to reduce traffic congestion and vehicle crashes, concentrates on asset management and operations, supports regional economic development opportunities, and maintains an emphasis on transportation’s impact on the environment.

If you would like to provide the input, you can fill out their visioning survey here by clicking here.

Last week I was honored to lead the Texas Aerospace Caucus on a trip to Boca Chica, TX  to tour SpaceX's Starbase. I founded the Texas Aerospace Caucus in 2015 to bring more attention to issues in the legislature that affect the Texas aerospace and space industries.
