Representative Paul Reminds Families To Enjoy A Safe Labor Day Weekend

To many, Labor Day marks the end of the summer season and the beginning of football season. School is back in session and the excitement is in the air.  My family and staff look forward to a productive fall as we prepare for the 85th legislative session beginning January 2017.  Everyday I am thankful for the opportunity to serve the constituents of House District 129 and appreciate the continued input on the many issues affecting our community as well as the great state of Texas.

Governor Greg Abbott today announced the launch of the Texas Industry Cluster Innovative Academies as part of his Tri-Agency Workforce Initiative established in March 2016.

The academies will target specific course work and educational opportunities that lead to direct employment in high-demand occupations for the following industry clusters:
  • Advanced Technologies and Manufacturing
  • Aerospace and Defense
  • Biotechnology and Life Sciences (including Health Care)
  • Energy
  • Information and Computer Technology
  • Petroleum Refining and Chemical Products
