REP. PAUL ATTENDS PRAYER CAUCUS AT CAPITOL
The first prayer caucus to be hosted in the state of Texas
 
Last Monday the state launched the Texas Prayer Caucus. In forming the caucus, which is modeled after the Congressional Prayer Caucus, Texas has joined a

network of over 700 state legislators in 31 other states that are a part of a state prayer caucus. The Texas Prayer Caucus is a bi-partisan organization re-affirming the Judeo-Christian values that shaped our nation.

GREATER HOUSTON PARTNERSHIP RECEPTION CHAMPIONS

The Texas Wide Open Business Reception hosted by
Gov. Abbott on stage giving speech at Greater Houston Partnership reception.
GHP and TexasOne featured Governor Abbott as special guest. The Partnership is a place for community-minded business leaders who want to be involved in Houston's positive growth and influence the direction in which Houston is going. Through the dedicated efforts of our members, the Partnership addresses Houston's unique challenges, and champions the growth and success of our region.
 


 

YOUNG CONSTITUENTS ADVOCATE FOR EDUCATION
Various students voice their opinion on legislation that will effect them this session
High school constituents visit Capitol.
Rep. Paul met with parents and students from the Texas Home School Coalition Association who were lobbying for HB 1361.
ADVOCACY GROUPS DIRECT ATTENTION
 A legislative breakfast for members and a private meeting with Rep. Paul both prioritize public health legislation

 After much anticipation, House members were given their committee assignments for the 85th Legislature. Representative Paul was assigned:

  • Rules & Resolutions
  • Texas Ports, Innovation & Infrastructure, VICE-CHAIR
