Representative Paul attends The Energy Council's 2017 State & Provincial Trends in Energy & the Environment Conference. Recently, Representative Paul attended the 2017 State and Provincial Trends in Energy and the Environment Conference in Bismarck, North Dakota. The conference hosted discussions on North American Energy Investment considerations, Carbon Capture, a Sequestration update, Electric Transmissions overview, and Court decisions regarding Federal Energy and Environmental Regulations. In addition to a trip to the North Dakota state capitol building, Representative Paul and his family visited Mount Rushmore in Keystone, South Dakota.

| Seabrook ranks as one the "50 Safest Cities in Texas" for third year in a row SafeWise released their annual 50 Safest Cities in Texas report, and Seabrook ranked No. 35. This is the third consecutive time Seabrook has ranked in top 50 of SafeWise's report.
Overall, 80% of this year's safest cities reported fewer than ten robberies, 96% reported fewer than five arsons, and 20% reported zero incidents of rape. To compile this report, SafeWise uses the most recent FBI crime data to analyze and rank Texas cities that have a minimum population of 10,000 people. To read more click here. |

My office was recently visited by Ed in Action student Zachary Reimer from Thompson Intermediate. Zachary visited the Texas Capitol to learn more about how his Legislators operate and work hard for citizens of Texas. Zachary has an interest in STEM and loves living in and around Space Center Houston.

Congratulations to this summers High School Aersospace Scholars graduates. NASA wants today's students to become the engineers, scientists, researchers and innovators of tomorrow. High School Aerospace Scholars offers a one-of-a-kind experience for Texas high school students to explore the possibilities of a science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) related major or career.
Saaketh Rao, Amelia Soltes, Daniel Abreo, and Lauren Jernigan are to be commended for their hard work and determination. Their commitment to their education will serve as an example to all of us and no doubt will continue to reap benefits for years to come.
