National Prescription Drug Take Back Day

The National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day will take place on Saturday, April 28, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Houston Police Department's Clear Lake Substation, 2855 Bay Area Boulevard, Houston, Texas 77058.

The national event, sponsored by the United States Department of Justice Drug Enforcement Administration, aims to provide safe and convenient disposal of prescription drugs while also educating the public on the potential for the abuse of prescription medications. Sites will be available throughout the City of Houston for residents to drop off unused or expired drugs for safe disposal by law enforcement personnel. Bay Area Regional Medical Center Receives Trauma Designation Award

The Department of State Health Services (DSHS) wanted you to be aware that a hospital in your district recently received a Trauma Designation Award. Trauma designation is a formal recognition of a hospital’s trauma care capabilities and commitment to excellence that exceed minimum hospital licensure requirements.

Bay Area Regional Medical Center in Webster, TX earned a Level III Designation - Advanced Trauma Facility. This designation, which is valid for three years, shows the facility’s dedication to improving, expediting, and standardizing the care of trauma patients.

Rep. Paul was honored to sponsor Lutheran South Academy student Liliana Fehst at South Belt-Ellington Chamber of Commerce’s Top Ten Luncheon.

Rep. & Mrs. Paul attended the Armand Bayou fundraiser where they visited with Pasadena Mayor Jeff Wagner. There was a large crowd and our region was blessed because we raised a lot of money for the community nature center.

Rep. Paul visited with Pearland constituents Carol, Linda and Ann at Houston Yacht Club recently. It is great visiting with people from all over HD 129!

Rep. Paul recently visited with the Bay Area Republican Women’s club where James Dickey and Cindy Asche spoke as candidates for RPT chairman.

Rep. Paul enjoyed his recent visit with Port of Houston Chairwoman Janiece Longoria at Bay Tran meeting.

District Director Dawn McDonald attended The Arc of Greater Houston, Family to Family Network, and Disability Rights Texas Legislative Listening Hour. Titled "Employable," the event focused on the opportunities and barriers that Texans with intellectual and developmental disabilities face when it comes to obtaining and maintaining competitive jobs.
