Galveston County Transportation Summit
Representative Paul attended the 2018 Galveston County Transportation Summit hosted by the area Chambers of Commerce and the Bay Area Houston Transportation Partnership (BAYTRAN).

This year's event focused on the powerhouses of our regional economy - our ports. The program included a panel discussion with regional port directors, remarks from Galveston County Judge, Commissioners, state legislators, and a TxDOT updates.

Approximately $500 million in local, county and state resources are expected to be invested over the next 10 years on projects to improve the transportation infrastructure.

"Statistics have shown that “a whole other Houston” will be thrown into the triangle area between Dallas, San Antonio, and Houston itself by 2050. Can you imagine how many more people are coming and going?” asked Paul. “If we don’t take care of the infrastructure needs that we have… we’re going to have a lot of problems.”
