The Army Corps of Engineers and the Texas General Land Office have reached the mid-point on the Coastal Texas Study, commonly referred to as the Ike Dyke study.
This plan is a DRAFT plan. There is still a lot to decide, such as location of
structures and their design and features.
Please join representatives of the Corps and the GLO to discuss these issues in any one of a series of public meetings to go over the plan.

TxDOT will have an upcoming public hearing for the proposed Landing Boulevard and NASA 1 Bypass Extension from FM 518 to 1-45, in Harris and Galveston Counties, Texas. The proposed project is a new location roadway that would extend Landing Boulevard and NASA 1 to intersect at a roundabout as a four lane, divided facility. The proposed project would require 25.1 acres of right-of way, and would potentially displace one commercial property. The proposed project would require acquisition of public land designated and used as a park. This public hearing is being held to present the proposed design and to seek comments from local officials and citizens. This hearing will be conducted in accordance with Chapter 26 of the Texas Parks and Wildlife Code and will allow the public the opportunity to review the Draft Section 4(f) de minimis impact determination and project details specifically as they relate to Myrtle Park. You, or your representative, are cordially invited to attend. See attached hearing location map.
