District 129 Newsletter

Happy Easter!

As we prepare for the Easter weekend with Good Friday tomorrow and Easter Sunday just a few days away, this week's newsletter is a short one. The regular newsletters will pick back up next Friday.

Eliza and I wish for you and yours a peaceful and joyful Easter.
Giving Law Enforcement the Resources They Deserve

Our peace officers put their lives on the line to secure Texas communities. We need to have their back and provide the resources needed to attract the best law enforcement candidates.

We’re seeing a shortage of Texans joining law enforcement, and that puts everyone at risk. Assisting law enforcement with student loans will attract more officers.

Texas continues to back the blue. House Bill 14 will make sure our best and brightest have an opportunity to become a peace officer while providing for their families.
H.B. 3092 Passes the House

This week my House Bill 3092, which will help ensure people who adopt animals from shelters are given important information about their new pet's well-being, passed the House. It is now pending in the Senate for further consideration.
