Updates on my Bills:

On Tuesday, I laid out House Bill 2067 before the House Committee on Insurance. HB 2067 relates to declination, cancellation, or nonrenewal of insurance policies.

Later that afternoon, I presented House Bill 3255 to the House Committee on Trade, Workforce & Economic Development. HB 3255 relates to the authority of a development corporation created by the Gulf Coast Authority to finance certain projects.

On Thursday, I laid out House Bill 1783 before the House Committee on Elections. HB 1783 relates to requirements for certain petitions requesting an election and ballot propositions and to related procedures and provisions.

The House Celebrates Texas Space Day!

It was an honor to meet Reid Wiseman, commander of NASA’s Artemis II mission, which is set to orbit the Moon in 2026.

Senator Hinojosa and Representative Alders joined in the excitement. We’re pictured alongside Commander Wiseman and Stephen Koerner, who was recently named Acting Director of the Johnson Space Center.

Gwen Griffin, Chair of the Texas Space Commission Board of Directors, and Commander Wiseman presented a sapling that was grown in space. It will be planted at the Capitol later this year.

The University of Texas Medical Branch was one of many booths set up along the south drive of the Capitol. The program trains physicians to become specialists in the field of Aerospace Medicine.

I’m pictured here with Stephen Koerner, who was appointed Acting Director of the Johnson Space Center in February.

What's Happening on in District 129:

Over the weekend, Eliza and I attended a Mardi Gras Gala hosted by St. Bernadette Catholic Church in Clear Lake.
