Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich to Speak at the 2008 Republican Party of Texas Convention The Republican Party of Texas would like to announce former House Speaker Newt Gingrich as a guest speaker at the Texas state convention.  Speaker Gingrich will be speaking Friday, June 13th at 1:30 PM during the General Assembly and is expected to be a big draw for Texas delegates.
