As of June 13, 2008, I've completed 9-1/2 years of service as your SD11 SREC Committeewoman. Thank you for that privilege. Though I do not favor term limits, in this case, I'm actually grateful for them!
I haven't completely left the picture. I was elected to serve as the SREC Secretary at the convention, so I will still be involved with the State Party in a different capacity.
Sheryl Berg was elected to be our new SD11 SREC Committeewoman at the State Convention, and I'm confident she will do a great job for you. Be sure you have updated your address book to her new e-mail address: speak2clearlake@comcast.net .
For those who missed the announcement, Glenn and I have property in Canyon Lake, and we plan to start building in the next 2 years or so. We are having a little trepidation, considering how far we will be from a grocery store and the price of gas these days, but we will probably be moving out of SD11 one way or the other.
In preparation for our move, I am stepping back from local leadership positions so that I am available to help others who are stepping up to the plate. Please don't hesitate to contact me if I can be of assistance. I am in no means stepping away from the Party - I'm just trying to facilitate a smooth baton pass.
