Merry Christmas from State Representative Dennis Paul!!

As 2022 comes to a close, I wish everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. 2022 was full of accomplishments for Texas, but there is still more to do, and I look forward to continuing to serve House District 129 in 2023 as the 88th Texas Legislature begins.

As always, if there is anything that my staff or I can do to assist you, please do not hesitate to contact me.

God Bless,

Dennis Paul

Bill Filing has Begun!

Bill filing has begun! I have currently filed two pieces of legislation with many more in the drafting process.

If you would like to Track my bills and those of the other members of the legislature you can follow the directions below.

How to Track Legislation

To track legislation, you can visit the Texas Legislature Online. You can do this by visiting https://capitol.texas.gov/

If you would like to create a saved search, follow these directions:  Go to https://capitol.texas.gov/MnuMyTLO.aspx . If you've never set up an account here before, go to "Login" and click "New User" to set up your account. Once you are set up and get logged in, click on "MyTLO," then "Search", then "Bill Search". In the "Author" box pull-down menu select "Paul (H-A3090)". Hit the gray "Search" button on the top-right, and you will see the bills I've filed this session which already have been assigned bill numbers. We have quite a few bills still being drafted, so you'll see more entries soon. Now go to the top-right and select "Save Search," and give this search a name, like "2023 Dennis Paul bills". From now on, when you come into "MyTLO" you go to "Saved Searches". Click "Run" on your "2021 Dennis Paul Bills," and it will give you a current list of all my bills this session.

Natural Resources Committee Interim Hearing

Last Month I attended my last interim Committee Hearing of the 87th Legislature. This hearing for the House Natural Resources Committee was held in Mcallen Texas where heard from residents about water-related issues in the Rio Grande Valley.

Every Committee turns in an interim report that reviews the hearings they held in between legislative sessions. You can read these reports by clicking here.

District Update

Earlier this week I continued my annual tradition of ringing the Salvation Army Bell with Former Nassau Bay Mayor Mark Denman, Seabrook Mayor Thom Kolupski and Friendswood Mayor Mike Foreman.

I attended the Clear Lake Chamber of Commerce's Holiday Pary.

I had the pleasure of attending the Space Center Rotary Holiday Party.

I had the honor of hearing from my District Intern Joey Piro who gave a final presentation on his internship.
