SD 11 SREC: House District 129 Newsletter

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays, District 129! As we approach the end of the year, I have reflected on my attendance at numerous events throughout our community. Connecting with so many of my constituents has been incredibly rewarding as we discuss the critical issues that matter most to our community.

My team and I are preparing for the 89th Legislative Session, which begins on January 14, 2025. We are working on new legislation that I believe will best serve the people of Texas.

Recently, my wife Eliza, and I continued a Texas House tradition by hanging an ornament together on the Texas House Christmas Tree.

I was humbled to receive the Clear Lake Asian Professional Society's Man of the Year award earlier this fall. Thank you for your continued support and contributions to our district and the greater community.

It was an honor and a pleasure to participate in the ribbon-cutting at the Mud Gully Storm Drain Project here in Harris County. Improvements in infrastructure will help continue the fight against flooding in southeast Harris county. I am pictured with: Chris Clark, Tina Peterson, and others.

In November, I celebrated my friend and former House Representative Ed Thompson at a farewell event. Representative Thompson and I were desk mates for many years, and his presence will be missed.

It was a pleasure to attend the Kingwood Tea Party with many of my fellow state representatives from the Houston area, and Representative Cook - who is running for Speaker of the Texas House in the upcoming session.

I attended a groundbreaking event for Texas A&M's Space Institute. The legislature funded the Space Institute in the last session and I am excited to continue working on advancing aerospace in Texas.

The University of Houston College of Optometry hosted me and fellow legislators for their open house. Go Cougs!

I was a panel member for the Economic Alliance | Houston Port Region last week, speaking on expectations for the upcoming legislative session.

It was great to speak with Cecilia Ganje, a board member of Clear Brook City MUD, at the South Belt / Ellington Chamber Christmas party.

During the invocation at the Pasadena Chamber's Christmas Gala, I was thrilled to address fellow constituents and wish everyone a Merry Christmas. Cristina Womac is pictured to my right.
