Over the weekend, I joined the majority of my colleagues in casting my vote to support David Cook as our next Speaker of the Texas House. I want to reaffirm my commitment to upholding the House Republican Caucus bylaws and the RPT Platform, including supporting Representative Cook and ensuring no Democrat serves as a committee chair.
The selection of a new Speaker presents us with an opportunity to advance meaningful conservative reform in the Texas House. I look forward to casting my vote for Representative Cook from the House floor on the first day of the upcoming legislative session. Additionally, I remain steadfast in my commitment to supporting the following priorities:
- School choice and education savings plans
- Lowering property taxes
- Advocating for the coastal barrier
It is an honor to serve another term as your State Representative. I couldn’t have done it without your steadfast support and, of course, your vote. While the election may be over, one critical deadline remains: my campaign cannot accept donations after midnight on Saturday, December 14, until the legislative session concludes.
