Governor Abbott Issues Statement On Emergency Preparation Supplies Sales Tax Holiday   During the 84th Legislative Session, Governor Abbott signed SB 904 into law, allowing for sales tax exemptions on emergency supplies from 12:01 a.m. on Saturday, April 23rd until midnight on Monday, April 25th.  To learn more about this legislation please read the Governor's press release here. Clear Lake Theatre Time Capsule Event. On April 20, 1966, a time capsule was buried at the new Clear Lake Theatre during its grand opening.
