REP. PAUL CONVENES FIRST AEROSPACE CAUCUS FOR THE 85TH SESSION
Members meet to discuss the importance of aerospace's education and funding
 
The mission of the Aerospace Caucus is to promote legislation that will secure Texas' ranking as the

world's leader in space exploration. Districts across the state have become engaged in aerospace in various forms. This caucus will unite legislators in order to help guide Texas to meet its potential in the space industry.

GOVERNOR ABBOTT RELEASES BUDGET AND SPEAKS ON OTHER PRIORITIES
 
The Governor announced a call for a property and franchise tax reduction. In his "State of the State" speech, Abbott also listed four emergency items: Sanctuary cities, CPS, ethics, and Convention of States.
 
Highlights Of The Governor's Budget:
  • Adds $500 million for reforming Child Protective Services (CPS) 
  • Maintains $800 million in funding for border security
  • Fully funds $5 billion in additional road construction without new taxes, fees, debt, or tolls

REP. PAUL SPEAKS AT PROFESSIONAL ENGINEERS LEGISLATIVE DAY

Rep. Paul spoke to professional engineers last week about the many issues facing the industry and the exciting opportunities to grow the engineering       profession. Some of the topics included:

  • Infrastructure investment

state demographics. Much of the conversation revolved around the technology of the future. Topics included:
  • Drone taxis
  • Freight shuttle systems
  • Autonomous vehicles
  • Hyper-loop travel
