Updates from the Capitol

A visit from San Jacinto College students!

On Monday, I had the pleasure of welcoming a group of San Jacinto College students to my office at the Capitol, accompanied by Dr. Brenda Hellyer, Chancellor of San Jacinto College. Each student shared their unique backgrounds, areas of study, and career aspirations.

Many shared how San Jacinto College has shaped their educational journeys. Their passion for the college’s success was clear, and they’re eager to see it thrive with continued state support. As a strong advocate for higher education, I remain committed to supporting San Jacinto College and others.
