Updates on my Bills:

On Tuesday, I laid out House Bill 3041 before the House Committee on Higher Education. HB 3041 relates to measures to support the enrollment of students with a nontraditional secondary education at public institutions of higher education, including eligibility for certain student financial assistance programs.

Later that afternoon, I presented House Bill 1552 to the House Committee on Criminal Jurisprudence. HB 1552 updates Texas statute by removing all references to "child pornography" and replacing the outdated terminology with "child sexual abuse material" (CSAM), a more accurate and encompassing term.

To wrap up Tuesday, I laid out House Bill 2827 before the House Committee on Licensure and Administrative Procedures. The bill extends the renewal period for professional engineers and land surveyors from one year to two.

On Thursday, I laid out House Bill 2970 before the House Committee on Natural Resources. HB 2970 relating to the implementation of projects by the Gulf Coast Protection District.

That same morning, I presented House Bill 3388 before the House Committee on Insurance. HB 3388 relates to group property and casualty insurance policies.
