SD 11 SREC: District 129 Session Newsletter

This week, we began referring bills to committee. I look forward to start hearing bills and continuing the legislative process. My staff and I had many vital meetings to hear from constituents and organizations.

Our first organizational meeting for the House Committee on Insurance is Tuesday, February 28th, at 8:00 AM. We will hear from the organizations which the committee has jurisdiction over. Please click HERE to see the notice and to watch online.

Updates

Pearland Day

We welcomed the Pearland Chamber of Commerce to the State Capitol on Wednesday. I am proud to represent part of Pearland, and it was great to visit with this lovely group.

Aerospace Caucus

Also, I was happy to meet with Stephen McCall from Firefly Aerospace this week. It was great to discuss the future of Aerospace and the role the State of Texas plays in it.

Chemical Day

I met with members of the East Harris County Manufacturers Association to discuss their legislative priorities. Manufacturing is a critical industry in District 129, and I look forward to working with them during this session.
